Purchased on January 29-31, 1956, immediately following Elvis' first TV Performance on the Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey Show (1/28/56), from Strand Record Store of Westfield, Massachusetts, this set has remained in our family, virtually UN-touched, for 3 generations.

As quoted in "Sun Records: The Brief History Of The Legendary Record Label" by C. Escott & M. Hawkins (1975), and other undisputed expert sources including the late-great JOAN DEARY of RCA, who personally, visually verified them years(1972)before SUN 'boots' were ever pressed! These are 'un-punched'
("12-4-8"), and were pressed & issued between Elvis' signing to RCA
(11/25/55) and the date his contract with RCA took effect (1/1/56). In order to press & sell them before Elvis' contract with RCA began and Sun's distribution rights ended, these pressings were done hurriedly, randomly, in pressing plants that in many cases Sun did not normally use . Therefore, most pressings in this time period were 'un-punched', however, legitimate & original!

This ONE-OF-A-KIND prized gem was obtained from Ms. Joan Deary, Executive of RCA Records, New York City. You may wonder the 'authenticity' of this King-Gem, as well as how I could have ever possessed it... As a King ELVIS
fan since 1968, I was extremely fortunate enough to befriend 1 of the
Greatest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing... RCA Exec &
King ELVIS Producer, Ms. Joan Deary!! In the early 1970's, as a young teenager, I was fortunate enough to speak to Ms. Deary numerous times by phone. To the point that it became a weekly 'ritual'. Following The King's famed Madison Square Garden Appearances, in June 1972(of which Ms. Deary comped me & my Family 6 tickets!!), I finally got the personal invite of a lifetime from the majestic Ms. Deary!
During my 45-minute visit, I was given a tour of RCA Records, the RCA
Vault, and concluded with a personal 1-on-1 in Ms. Deary's office, at
which time she gifted me two of my most prized King treasures...The
first was a white label/white cover advanced copy double LP of the
infamous "Madison Square Garden"
show, which she just so happened to receive a box of at her office during my
visit!!(Sorry, this 1 is Not for sale:) If that wasn't enough, while
showing me how they filed some of the King's gems in their "vault", she pulled from the
file and presented me with this 'One-of-a-Kind Mass-Production Master Proof'.. as she went on to explain.. "David, this was the artwork from which the "Perfect For Parties" commercial picture sleeves
was printed, back in 1956." What most amazed me about this was that it
was stored in what appeared to be simple 'Saran wrap'. Through all
these years, with minimal preservation, it has remained in near-mint condition, with only minor 'dog-eared' corners. I've carefully unwrapped it only once in order to take the detailed pictures. Then meticulously & perfectly re-wrapped it Exactly as was. For as much as I hate to
part with Ms. Deary's treasured ELVIS Gem, I know this will be a great
opportunity for a true, die-hard fan of the King to own a real piece of
King ELVIS History!!(besides, I still have my 'M.S.G.' Promo LP & Ticket Stubs!!:) For as any ELVIS fan knows, the commercial version of this is mega-collectible enough on its own!

Here is the second ultra-rare gems from the incomparable Ms. Joan Deary, Executive of RCA Records, New York City. This one was shipped directly from RCA Nashville in 1981 (see actual RCA mailer pictured).
Only 100 copies were pressed of this RED VINYL promotional-only release of "Guitar Man(Stereo) / Guitar Man(Mono)"! Of these 100 copies, just *10* came with a RCA PROMO-NOTCH & PROMO-ONLY GOLD-STAMPED picture sleeve, issued ONLY for RCA in-house V.I.P. executives, Ms.Deary being one of them!!
What's also unique about this sleeve is that it contains a second, 'inner' sleeve('RCA', not generic white), specially "notched" by RCA (see picture), NOT a 'cut-out/slit' mark. In addition, the outer sleeve is gold-embossed stamped and marked "RCA NOT FOR SALE PROMO ONLY." Ms. Deary personally informed me, as well as it is commonly noted in all Presley discographies, that "only 100 copies of the red vinyl 'Guitar Man' were made." However, the promo picture sleeve is so Rare that, to the best of my knowledge, it is noted nowhere, making it, in this King Elvis 'expert's' opinion, more rare and valuable than the 100 pressed Red vinyl records & 1 of the Most Rare King ELVIS Picture Sleeves EVER!! According to the information that I personally received from Ms. Deary
herself, as well as other U.S. and worldwide RCA executives, i.e. Paul
Williams (RCA NYC), Ola Wirenstrand (RCA Germany), Charley
Stanford (RCA UK), among others, "Only about *10* of the Picture Sleeves were customized for a few of the RCA Exec's." Of the small number of limited-edition promo only colored-vinyl releases from Nashville in the 1980's, only 2 of these were with customized 'in-house executive'-only picture sleeves, the Red vinyl "Guitar Man" and the Gold vinyl "I Was The One/Wear My Ring Around Your Neck"(Pls Don't Ask!;). All avid King ELVIS fans are aware of the mega-rare, extremely limited colored vinyl promo releases that came out of Nashville, TN. in the early 1980's and their $ value. Even with NO P/S, this being the first of the color-vinyl releases makes it the rarest and most sought after! Now, add the Ultra-Mega-Rare P/S & it's virtually priceless!!
